The Old Town canoe with serial number 149960 is a 16 foot long, AA (or top) grade, HW (Heavy Water) model with open mahogany gunwales, a keel, and sponsons. It was built between December, 1947 and March, 1948. The original exterior paint was dark green. It shipped on March 31st, 1948 to Detroit, Michigan.
