Searching Manufacturer & Serial Number Match

Good afternoon everybody,

Is there anyone who'd be kind enough to help me identify manufacturer and model type of my old wooden canoe? The SN# is (1215 16) as seen below. Much thanks, Jeff

It will take more than a serial number alone to identify your canoe since there are very few records for numbers this low. The Kennebec with this number is 18 feet long so that isn't a good match. Can you provide some pictures of the decks, seats, thwarts, and stem profile? It is now unusual for numbers like this to be found on canoes from the Charles River area outside of Boston but none of their records are known to exist. The stamps on Arnold canoes often had fancy fonts like this for example. Can you show us more?

It certainly looks like a canoe from the Charles River area and may be an Arnold.
