Rushton? Racine?

No photos yet, but I'm confused. What am I working on??

Heart decks, trapezoid padded horse hair stern seat, 13/64 thick planks, mortised inwales for the cant ribs, copper inwale rivets, block spacers between the inwales and thwarts, 3/4" copper clinched tacks.
Seats hung from inwale, no carry thwarts...., pics to follow, but wanted to get ya thinking...

Hi Dave,

That seat is not a Rushton seat. I've attached a picture of one of mine.

Rushton ribs were tapered on both sides although Racine ribs were not tapered, they were much wider and closer together, pic attached.

I think you might have a home built, although you haven't given us the best pictures to work with.

Always open to other ideas,

Paul

Now who is Derelict Dave? I'm thinkin' the title is yours. My IG has a very wide sheer plank which is seen on Rushton. And cherry for rails. The inwale pockets are half blind and not thru the inwale. The outwales are fastened with screws in a distinctive pattern. From the inside. Hope that helps.
