I'm sad to report that the scanned records stop just over 250,000 so no one here can help. Your canoe should have a hull identification number on the starboard stern. The information at http://www.boatsafe.com/nauticalknowhow/hin.htm will help you decode a date from this. The chart at http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/oldtown_chart.html indicates that it is probably from around 1987 or 1988. Sorry,

Better late than never? I've recently been scanning some unsorted records and found yours. The Old Town canoe with serial number 283263 is an 15 foot long Trapper model with a keel. It was built between January and March, 1987. The original exterior paint color was red over the fiberglass. It shipped on March 10th, 1987 to Hardeeville, South Carolina. (The canoe shipped without painter rings in error.) The back side of the card shows that there was a little dust on the bottom finish and some cracks were filled at the ends of both decks next to the inside rails. Scans showing both sides of this build record can be found below.
