Request Old Town Build Date

I am requesting a build date for a 16' Old Town with a stem number of
129371-16. It was purchased recently by a friend and I told him I would get a date for it.

The Old Town canoe with serial number 129371 is a 16 foot long, CS (Common Sense) grade, Yankee model with open spruce gunwales and a keel. It was built between February and May, 1940. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It was shipped on May 22nd, 1940 to Auburn, Mass. A scan of this build record can be found by following the link at the attached thumbnail image below.
