Curious about Wooden Canoes
Hello All,
The Chestnut deer that I recently purchased needs new thwarts.
At some point, the center thwart was removed and replaced with an additional quarter thwart. I would like to put it back in it's original configuration.
Currently, if measured from the outside of the inwales, the canoe is 35" wide.
I believe it should be spread out to 36". Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Also, If anyone could recommend someone who sells appropriate thwarts or maybe a chestnut style yoke, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Rob
