Dave Wermuth will be canvassing a canoe @ the QAS by hand. The event is MSU in East Lansing. I don't have the link, but maybe Dave or Mike will put it on.
Yes, Quiet Adventures Symposium will be this Saturday March 2nd, at the MSU pavilion in Lansing. https://www.quietadventures.org/qas_2024_information.php
Mike Darga and John Hansen will be helping Dave Wermuth canvas his canoe. The Michigan Chapter will have a booth next to Dave's. Come out and see us.
This will be similar to how Gil does it. The canoe is a new construction. It is supposed to be from 11am to 3pm. I suspect it will take alot less time. Unless we get to talking too much we'll be done by 1pm.
Mike has hand canvassed so many canoes that he can do it by himself. It is time for me to pass the torch-so to speak-. Am still doing a few canoes, but as I approach my eightieth birthday, it is time for youngsters to step up. Both Dave and Chris Pearson are restoring canoes in Michigan.
i have been blessed-spent August in Europe and Feb. in Cayman islands
