I just purchased this Pine Strip Canoe, It is 14' 3" end to end, I purchased it from a 85 year old Gentleman, He said he had always wanted to build a canoe and at the age of 82 built this Canoe. He said he worked on it for 4 months almost every day. I was going to hang it up for display but it is to big. What would the value be for this?

You will not like what I think - it's a crudely made stripper, the lines are not fair and the wood is blocky - zero value.
Note, I live in MN where many, many strippers have been made, and I've built 2 1/2 myself.

I would paddle it if it were mine. I'm not a potential buyer as I have three canoes and several other boats. There are many home built strip canoes out there, but not much demand. You will see dreamers asking thousands for them, but hundreds is more realistic. Ask what you paid, and consider any offer. But paddle it first. Good luck.
