Picture of Founder of Kennebec

While poking around ancestry.com, I came across this picture of George Terry, the founder of the Kennebec Canoe Company, and his wife Clara. I've been hoping to find a familial connection that would explain the business dealings between Kennebec and Morris, but so-far haven't found anything.

There's a history of Kennebec in the Summer 1984 issue of Wooden Canoe that might be nice for someone to expand-upon.

Maybe you should be focusing on collecting Kennebecs!

One reason I'm poking around the ancestral records of the Morris family is that I hope to connect with a living relative who might know a few things... for instance, there's an article in an early issue of Wooden Canoe with an interview of Charles Morris's grandson (this would be Bert's great-nephew), and he mentions having his grandfather's canoe. I'd love to know what Charlie Morris was paddling. Plus, I have a few other questions...

Kathy,

I love Kennebec canoes. I hope you find and post more info about both Morris and Kennebec early days.
