I was wondering if the database had a build record for Peterborough Champlain serial number 1434 5988

Use of the model number 1434 starts sometime between 1939 and 1941 (the actual design predates that as the model number 26P). Originally called the Champlain Pleasure, it was later known has the High-End Champlain. It was dropped from the Peterborough catalog in 1956. That is all we can learn from the serial number.
