OT Boat Serial #..?

Hi!

An Old Town boat I'm looking at has the serial # found in the pic attached. This is what the seller sent me, so it's the best I have. Really hard to make out. Any guesses? There are "Old Town" labels (not stickers but attached with screws) on the outside, midship, both sides. Thanks in advance!!!

 

[Benson Gray]

The Old Town with serial number 05283 is a 16 foot long Kingsize Skiff model with a keel and a floor rack. It was built between January and February, 1963. The original exterior paint colors were gray and green. It was shipped on June 5th, 1963 to Port Washington, New York. A scan of this build record can be found below.

This scan and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well.
