Hi, Dave and Peggy--

Was thinking today of sending you the link to a YouTube I just put together... see if you recognize anything:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAgGNJN3r08

Old Town 71186 is a 15 foot CS grade fifty pounder, built between April and June of 1922. It has red Western cedar planking, open spruce gunwales, ash decks, thwarts, and seat frames, a keel and a floor rack. It was painted dark green, which was Japanned (for quicker drying), and shipped to C.R. Hunsicker in Gratergood (sic-- I think they may mean Greatergood!) on June 15, 1922. (That last "2" looks a bit like a "7", but I think it's a "2").

Scan attached below. Scans of approximately 210,000 records were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. Additional information about the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/ot_records/ if you want more details.

I know you are members of WCHA, but non-members may wish to make a tax deductible contribution so that services like this can continue. See http://www.wcha.org/wcha/ to learn more about the WCHA, http://www.wcha.org/wcha_video.php to watch a 10 minute video about WCHA and our programs and http://www.wcha.org/join.php to join.

Kathryn,
Thank you for the shipping bill, I think it's 'Graterford'. Cute video, someday the mistery will be solved. We hope Denis is getting stronger. Please stop on your way to next years assembly, we owe you a Susquehanna River trip.
