They stopped keeping paper records around 1994 as shown at http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/oldtown_chart.html so there isn't a old style build record for number 607829. It should have a hull identification number on the starboard stern that begins with XTC. The information at http://www.boatsafe.com/nauticalknowhow/hin.htm describes how to get a date from those numbers.

Benson, Nothing on there, just those numbers on the stems. It looks like an Octa wooden. Mahogony trim and seats finished clear with glass cloth.
