The Old Town with serial number 102884 is a 17 foot long, CS (common sense or middle) grade, HW (heavy water) model with red western cedar planking, open spruce gunwales, a keel, a floor rack, and sponsons. It was built between September and December, 1929. The original exterior paint color was bright red. The shipping date is listed at February 5th, 1929 but this is probably not correct. The destination was Netcong, New Jersey.
Scans showing these build records can be found by following the links at the thumbnail images attached below. These scans and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at
http://www.wcha.org/ot_records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will join or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See

Is there any evidence of a floor rack, repairs, the original paint color, or salt water use in yours? Please reply here if you have any other questions. Thanks,
