This might be a row boat now but it probably started out with two pointed ends. The Old Town with serial number 23905 is an 18 foot long, GS (Guide's Special or utility) grade, IF (Indian Fishing) or Guide's model canoe with red western cedar planking, closed spruce gunwales, maple decks, maple thwarts, and maple seats, spruce finish rails, a keel, and two number two grade spruce paddles that were four feet, six inches long. It was built between October, 1912 and April, 1913. The original exterior paint color was slate. It shipped on April 12th, 1913 to Newport, New Hampshire. It is also possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match your boat. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions.
