Old Town Pathfinder 230308

I am seeking information on hull# 230308. I have inherited this boat and looking to fix it up again!

Welcome and congratulations, the Old Town canoe with serial number 230308 is an 15 foot long Chipewyan Pathfinder model. It was built in November 1979. The original exterior color was green. It shipped on November 30th, 1979 to Ely, Minnesota for the rental market. The back side indicates that it had some manufacturing defects. Scans showing both sides of this build record can be found below.

These scans and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. Thanks so much! It has rental stamped below the number so that must be it! Other than the plastic end caps and seats seats in desperate need of replacement it is in great shape! You would be hard pressed to distinguish the manufacturer defects from the wear and tear after 40 years
