The Old Town canoe with serial number 131193 is a 16 foot long CS grade HW model with open spruce gunwales, ash decks, thwarts and seats. It has a keel and a floor rack. It was built between December, 1940 and February, 1941. The original exterior paint color was maroon with reference made to a brilliant green hair line. The Old Town canoe with serial number 117067 is a 16 foot long AA grade HW model with open mahogany gunwales, mahogany decks, thwarts and seats. It has a keel and a floor rack. It was built between January, 1936 and July, 1936. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It shipped on June 25, 1937 to Syracuse, NY. A scan of this build record can be found by following the link at the attached thumbnail image below. Scott, it's hard to believe that all three of these came with a keel and floor rack. They all come from the same family?

These scans and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/ot_records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will join or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See http://www.wcha.org/wcha/ to learn more about the WCHA and http://www.wcha.org/join.php to join.

It is also possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match your canoe. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions.
