The Old Town canoe with serial number 129207 is 16 feet long, AA (top) grade, HW (heavy weight) model with, open mahogany gunwales, mahogany decks, thwarts and seats (I’m guessing that the stamp that hit high on the “Half Ribs” line was actually aimed at the “Seats” line), and equipped with a keel and a floor rack. It was originally painted with design # 43 – see below and at some point something called Smith’s Sealer was applied. It was built in 1940-41. It was shipped on August 3, 1941 to Oneonta, New York. A scan of this build record can be found by following the link behind the thumbnail image attached below.
It is also possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match your canoe. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions.
