Hello Marylou--
Old Town 93542 is a 17 foot AA (top) grade HW model canoe, with open mahogany gunwales, red Western cedar planking, mahogany decks/thwarts/seat frames. It was fitted with a keel, a floor rack, and sponsons... painted maroon with a 1/2" white stripe (sounds nice!), and shipped to the White Hardware Company of Kingston, PA on April 1, 1927.

This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. Does your canoe still have its sponsons? The original color for this canoe sounds cool... I am imagining the stripe defining the edge of the sponsons. This can look very nice.
