Old town 16' canoe

Hi just purchased a refinished Old Town canoe and would like to know a little about it's history. Serial # is 172621 and it appears to be a 16' foot model. The ad in craig list stated it was made in the 1960s.

The Old Town canoe with serial number 172621 is a 16 foot long Guide model with a keel. It was built between November, 1962 and July, 1963. The original exterior paint color was G. S. (Guide's Special) green. It shipped on July 16th, 1963 to Burlington, Vermont.
