Attention Lurkers and Regulars too:

It is that time of year again. You can always grill, can't always paddle. Get your new winter projects out and launch them or bring the old standby.

Sunday, June 19, 2011, Father’s Day on the Sudbury and Concord Rivers. An annual event we have been doing since 2005 and every year it seems the crowd gets bigger. Once again we will launch at Sherman’s Bridge over the Sudbury River. It is on Sherman’s Bridge Road off Route 126 at the Lincoln/Sudbury line and from there to the take out in Concord at the Old North Bridge it is about an 8 mile run. Plan on meeting in time for a 9:00am launch, bring a lunch and we will spend some time at the National Park in Concord. For additional information, contact John Fitzgerald.

Shuttle

Please allow time for the shuttle. We are shooting to launch at 9AM, but if you get to the put in by 8:30, we can likely move your car to the take out and get you back to the launch in time.

The weather sounds great!

Success

The Father's Day Paddle was a great success. We had perfect weather except for a bicep building headwind.

Twelve wooden boats participated. I'm a bit concerned over the preponderance of the doublebladed craft...:p
