Hello Canoeists,
The Norumbega Chapter will be paddling on the Sudbury and Concord Rivers on Sunday, June 20th, 2010. This will be our 6th annual Father's Day event and it is shaping up to be a fun trip. This promises to be a well attended family event this year.
We are going to have the completed Chestnut Ogilvy that many members assisted with on display and perhaps even in the water and the Mutschler family will be joining us.
The put in will be at the bridge on Sherman's Bridge Road, on the Sudbury/Wayland town line and we will paddle downstream to the Old North Bridge in Concord where we will have a picnic lunch and take a few minutes to explore the area where the American Revolution began. Parking at the put in is along the road on both ends of the bridge, at the take out there is plenty of parking on Lowell Road in Concord.
We will meet at the put in at 8:30am, do the car shuttle and be on our way.
For more information and detailed driving directions, contact John Fitzgerald (aka Fitz).
