The Norembega Chapter are restoring a 17' Robertson Canoe to be auctioned at the 2026 Assembly. Keep following this thread for work progress and details of how you can participate in the auction both at the Assembly and remotely if you are unable to attend the event. Looks good guys. Looking forward to seeing it at Assembly! I just made and installed a new keel on the Brodbeck I'm working on. It's a challenge when you don't have a second person to hold it tightly in place while you drive screws in from underneath. I used a brace wedged in from the ceiling down to the keel to hold it down while I screwed in on. I moved the brace along as I progressed. It worked.

I was doing the same today, alone. Because my workshop ceiling is 25' above the work zone, I held the keel down with a 50-pound bag of rat chow! Whatever works...

Guess im the only one that uses ratchet straps; not like they need to be killed to exert enough force. Can never find a helper when you need one haha
