Newest Canoe in for Repair. Raises several questions

The above link is to a blog on my website. It is about a canoe I have in my shop for repairs. The work is straight forward. What I so not know for sure is who built it. I have pictures to show what I mean.

I did a similar one a few years ago. The stapled planks, stems, and general shape are very familiar.
Oh yeah,...and G#& D&@# steel screws too! The one I did was very rough....ALL new ribs, in fact the only things original on it were the planking (redwood,I think) and the funky stems.
