Need help identifiying

I just bought an old canoe that was my grandfathers and I would like to start restoring it. I have a serial number and it is SWE66698M79J. Any help would be great. I also have plenty of images if they will help. I just need to know where to send them.

Your canoe was built by the Stowe Canoe Company in Vermont. The USCG MIC database shows they were in business from 1973 to 1991. Yours was built in 1979. More details here: http://www.uscgboating.org/recalls/mic_detail.aspx?id=SWE

Thanks for the quick response! Now knowing what type of canoe it is, I can do some further research on it and look for some recommendations for the restoration. Some reviews I have read on it have told me that it's perfect for fishing because of the wide hull. Which is what I bought it for. I'm pretty excited, this is my first canoe and since it used to be my grandfathers it has more value added to it.
