A friend pointed me to this one, and it is now in the canoe yard.
Very much Peterborough-like in style, except constructed as smoothskin lapstrake. No identification located anywhere. Previous owner's research suggested Wm. English. I'm not so sure.
15' 9" x 29" x 10" amid, 20" stems.
I'm wondering if it could be one of the St. Lawrence River builders - a St. Lawrence Boat Works catalog lists a canoe that could be described as this.
