Miniture/ souvineer canoe paddles

Tim Rowe

Curious about Wooden Canoes
I have a small collection of souvineer paddles that I display, cool piece of history as I don't find them in the wild very often.
Picked up a couple of Penobscot Indian paddles with some cool history and thought I would share.

Very nice, they appear to be in great shape as well. Great find! I have a small collection of souvenir paddles myself.

On another note, I just finished making 8 souvenir paddles this week in Maine guide styling. They are headed to my friend Gene Bahr next Friday for some paint.

Gene is an amazing artist.

I have a small collection which I mounted and framed last week.

The large one is a Alpheus Keech painted souvenir paddle of the 1000 Islands area whilst the other two are Chestnut and Peterborough paddles.
They are fun.

The frame looks nice Nick but it's a bit small for Keech collecting. The key to collecting Keech paddles is finding a left facing and right facing pair for all the scenes. I've been collecting them for almost 30 years and still have a way to go.

Zac, I suspect it will be easier to find Rocking Horse Poo over here in the UK than a matching pair of Keech paddles. I will keep an eye on the auctions tho'
