Kennebec deck decal

Looking for Kennebec deck decals 3 3/4 x 1 1/4 red kennebec letters above a goldish or silver canoe shape with address written in canoe. This is on a 1925 kineo. not sure if it's origional but it's on there, and would like to put it back on for the customer. any ideas? Dave Satter

There are two Kennebec decals shown at http://dragonflycanoe.com/wood-canoe-identification-guide/features-builders-plates-and-decals/ including one that may be similar to yours. I don't know of anyone who is selling Kennebec decals but you may be able to make one with a color printer and special paper. Please post a picture and let us know if you work out a better solution. Hope the photo works, can build a boat but not to good with a computer, have to keep my priorities straight

That decal seems to be in good shape. I have often sought to preserve the remains of some much less than perfect but original deck decals as shown at http://forums.wcha.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=6392&d=1225896293 and http://forums.wcha.org/showthread.php?5466-Protecting-Decal&p=29727#post29727 because they seemed like a good part of an old canoe's character.

Good idea, I think I'll probably procede in that direction. I like saving all I can of the canoe, historically. I think it's good she shows her wrincles and age.
