Ireland’s Wild River

Wooden Canoes are in the Blood
Happened to catch on TV this afternoon a fine documentary on public television: Ireland’s Wild River. A guy paddling along on the Shannon, watching birds, etc. Jeez, does it make me want to get back out there. Wonderful photography (or whatever it’s called).

What really gripes me is why can’t Americans make nature documentaries like this about our own waters and natural areas? I remember many years ago watching a wonderful show about loons, all filmed in northern New England . . . by Brits!!! It was a BBC production!

Videography

I just caught it On Demand. Thanks for the heads up. Amazing video. Well worth watching.

Beats, "Dance Moms" all to hell.
