I suppose Andre came to this thread because it was entitled "Insane" and he, like many of the rest of us, come to the forums looking to justify our usual mental state with like minded individuals. And people wonder why I drink - well some people wonder, most already know.
That is a great deal, especially when you consider the cost of a restoration these days. I showed it to my wife and she said to buy it. It would be nice to have but I don't have room to store another w/c boat. Also, it doesn't appear to have a center thwart which makes it tough for me to move around. Can anyone confirm this?
Courting canoes were usually placed in the water by young men dressed appropriately for a Sunday afternoon cruise. Because of such, they required no center thwart. Thus; there was never a need for any.
Finally found/saw the ad, I agree the price isn't bad, but it is a fair amount of money just before x-mas,
and in my experience, canoes in this price range often take a while to sell. (and here, winter is not a good time to try to sell any canoe).
