Help with Canoe Identification

I am new to the forum and am looking for help identifying a canoe. I have been looking online at one that I am pretty interested in buying and restoring as a summer project. I have attached some photos. It is located in Ontario, Canada and I am told it is 16' long. I'd really appreciate any help identifying it's make and model?

Any thoughts on what you'd pay for it?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Except for a few things which could have been changed with time it appears to be a Chestnuit Prospector. Do you have a serial number or measurements? I would be thinking in the plus or minus $600 range after a close inspection. It appears to be in good restorable condition.

yeah, it looks like a 16 foot prospector in real good shape--the finest kind. I have a 17 footer. 2 thwarts for a 16 footer. If no wood work required, then its a keeper for sure at 600. About another 800 will get it cleaned, canvassed, painted and varnished--if you do it yourself, even less. You will never need another canoe. Check to see if rails are 2 pieces spliced, or one piece of spruce.
