GC serial number

I picked up an old wooden canoe in central Maine that I am rehabbing
Found the serial number on both ends of the boat and wondering if anyone can identify the builder or year
Serial number is FX14809

It could be a Penn Yan, in which case FX indicates a Carry Canoe.

The deck decals look like the pieces left on mine and the deck shape is very similar
