From the Land of Hiawatha...

At some point in history (which those who build birch bark canoes may know), it was assumed by all the world that all American Indians live in teepees. Buffalo Bill might be the culprit... he took his Wild West Show to various parts of the world, and left folks with a mistaken impression of North America's indigenous peoples.

Here's yet another example of "when the forest met the plains"... note that the Hiawatha who lives in a teepee paddles a wood/canvas.

(This is on eBay, with the title "Hiawatha and Minnehaha Indians canoe teepee")
