The mid-1940s is when White transitioned from the "Water St." style tags shown at http://www.wcha.org/forums/index.php?attachments/257/ to the "Inc." ones shown at http://www.wcha.org/forums/index.php?attachments/24262/ for example. Which style are you seeking? These show up on eBay and other auction sites occasionally. You may have to buy a canoe with it. Good luck,
