Scouring the internet led me to this reference link attached. The file led to a description without photo. Conversing with the museum led me to obtaining the photo but now it seems it is not visible again on their page, but I downloaded a copy to share. I am not aware of another photo of Edwin. Please share if more are uncovered. A pretty great piece of canoe memorabilia.

I wonder what the insignia on his sweater is?

I've not found anything with a Google image search but my guess is that it may have been a local bicycling club insignia. This picture also emphasizes how young he was. His grave stone at https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/103968049/edwin-montgomery-white indicates that he was 25 when this picture was taken and 20 when he started building canoes. Pictures like this and his signature on the letter below help personalize these canoe builders. Great stuff,
