Kathryn Klos Campbell has a very old wooden canoe that has initials EBW in a thwart. There was some question as to whether it was EB White’s canoe. I don’t think it was ever determined. Her canoe is not an Old Town, though. However, to some folks not in the know, all wood canvas canoes are “Old Towns”… we’ll probably never know.
I think a search of EB White on this forum will show her posts and story behind the canoe she has.

I remember in Yankee magazine a few years ago when the Whites farm was for sale. In a photo of the barn in that article you could see the end of a green canoe in the rafters. If I'm remembering correctly. Though that could be any green canoe.
So if he received a canoe on his 11th birthday that canoe would have to be a canoe that dated 1910 or earlier ? I think.
