Did Old Town make a 15 ft Tripper ?
Found one for sale that says 15 ft
with serial # XTC10297B898
but photo looks like it's usual 17 ft 2.
Thx

The hull identification number indicates that the canoe was made in February, 1998 for the 1998 model year. The 1998 catalog at the link below has more details. It shows a Cascade model that was 14 feet, ten inches long and has the same 15 inch depth as the Tripper model. There is also a 15 foot long Trapper model in wood. The scanned records stop around 1984 so no additional information about this canoe is available. Good luck,

Benson

If it says tripper on the side of the boat its definitely 17' unless its a tripper XL.

OT made the Camper 15 and the Pathfinder, which look similar in hull design to the Tripper.

They did make a "Mini Tripper" model which Benson mentioned at 14'10" which was shaped like the regular Tripper with a bit more rocker and deeper sides than the camper and others in that general size range. At one point we set one up with a midship foam block saddle, knee straps and bow and stern float bags as a solo whitewater canoe, which worked quite well. This page is from a 1975 catalog.
