Wooden Canoes are in the Blood
While at the local Lee Valley store yesterday, I noticed Roger Foster (Carlisle Canoe Co.) leading a workshop to build an interesting bit of furniture that combines steam bent white cedar ribs, bead and cove red cedar, and even some truncated paddle forms. (Roger demonstrated how if you sit on this, it flexes and "feels like paddling a canoe".)
