Canoe nut
So...I'm outside stripping and sanding a small stool that I picked up for granddaughter and get startled by my wife who tells me about a wood canoe she saw at a garage sale on her way to the grocery store...and I need to stop what I"m doing and go look at it. (yes, I married well...)
Saw it, bought it...
It is 1/2 scale - everything is to scale and the construction techniques are the same as used on the full size boats. Anyone have a clue who might have made it?
Bow is 13 1/2" high and it is 8 1/2" high at the yoke.
Now there are 11 canoes here... including 3 classic Old Towns, 4 Old Town Royalex, a Discovery 169 and 3 "others..."
Where I am going to put it is a quandary, it is just shy of 9' long, 19 3/4" wide.
FOUND IT, thanks to a suggestion...
