Beautiful Canoe…but a mystery!

I am trying to figure out where to start identifying the make of this canoe. It is beautiful and was clearly well taken care of but there is no identification on it! I guess it could have been made local but thought it would be worth posting here in case any of you experts recognize anything! Thanks!!!

Welcome, my guess is that you have a home made stripper. You may be able to identify the design if the dimensions are close to any of the ones at the link below. Good luck,

Rita, it is worth pointing out that cedar strip canoes are very commonly home made, unlike wood/canvas canoes that have mostly come from commercial builders. This will make identification of the builder hard. Benson's suggestion might at least help you nail down the design even if the builder remains unknown.
Hope this helps.

Both of these posts were exactly what I was looking for as a starting point. I think it’s pretty clear it is homemade….which is fine.
Thank you!!
