Hi DAN....An early EM Sportsman, right ? I have one sometime before 1912 with the typical seat. It has an original keelson , riveted at every other rib with the hand made heads bunged in the keel. I'm talking heavy water worthy boats. I hope you can share some pics at some point. A fabulous find for you. WOW

Yes, I am the guilty party. Jean and I went to Dutchess County and picked it up for Dan. It's in my barn now. 15' long, 32" wide, 12" deep, beveled planking. a few broken ribs, some bad planking etc. - the usual issues. I'll let Dan expand on it further when he has it at his place. It will be a nice little canoe when it's restored. I guess you have to rotate your head 90 degrees to see the pics correctly.

Glad to see that canoe made it onto the site! I was watching it as well but couldn’t convince myself I needed another project. Even if it was an old EM White… maybe I just need a bigger garage??

Please post some pics as you restore and get it back on the water. It looks like a beauty!
