With great joy we brought our restored 1924 17' grade AA OTCA back to Maine for two spring days on the Saco. I've been there many times beginning in 1988. Starting in 2008, my daughter, now 20, has joined me. She played a major part in the resoration of the boat. It paddled beautfiully, even loaded with gear. We left just a few smudges of green enamel on the hidden snags. The torrential rains and hail coming from and going back to Pennsylvania were probably more of a concern than the mild river.
