First time poster. I recently purchased a JH Ruston Indian Girl. The seller said her husband bought it from Geraldine Ruston. Which I think is the great daughter in law of Mr. JH Rushton. She said it was a gift by the factory artisans to the Rushton family when factory shut down in 1917. It has no markings (serial #, name plate, etc.) would love to hear what you all think. Thanks.

It certainly has the appearance of a late Rushton IG, or a St. Lawrence Boat Works canoe. The latter was building on Rushton forms following WWI.

WWM,
Was the canoe you bought listed on eBay in Arizona? Lady named Carol? If so I corresponded with her a little and she said that she had some Rushton family paperwork with the canoe.
Looks like a very nice canoe.

It would be nice to see a few more pictures and the provenance if it exists. It appears that the stern seat is not a trapezoid as one would expect from a WW.
