1970’s era Chestnut Ogilvy green paint

I recently inherited a 70’s era ogilvy. It’s a beautiful canoe and in incredible shape. But it’s scuffed up along the bottom of the canoe.

It’s a light green colour, but I have no reason to believe it isnt original. Anyone know what builders or people are using for these old canoes? I don’t mind repainting the whole thing, as it’s not likely to be a perfect match, but I’m more looking for the brand and paint type as well.

Well...Chestnut green again.
Here are a few threads from people looking for the same color match and background about many of the supposed matches. If you live in Canada you will apparently have few hardware store options. I chose to mix mine using Epifanes, a good quality and readily available paint that I figured others could also obtain.
A Chestnut should not be dyspeptic mint green.

I am looking for Grey/Green Chestnut Prospector paint or a way to approximate it myself.
I have read through scores of related threads on this site. 4 or 5 different green paint variations have been discussed. Only one of them, a paint that is more grey than green, resembles the correct original color.

Kirby does not offer anything that closely resembles the correct color. I know that they will attempt to color match but it has not been my experience that they can even after several tries. I suppose I should call and ask if they offer it as a custom color but truthfully, I do...

Here we go again, again, again and again. Follow this thread for more Chestnut Grey Green discussion as well as a recipe that will get you very close to original using paints that are available outside of Canada. I was recently the second owner of an original Prospector that had not been repainted. I used it as a guide to mix what turned out to be a very strong match to the original paint.
As is noted in the attached thread, many of the "recipes" for the Chestnut color are dead ends.

So.....how did I do? I ended up custom mixing Epiphanes paint to get to what I thought was a reasonable color. I'm not sure if I got it right or not? It looks pretty good to my eye. Depending upon the lighting, it appears to be a greyish/bluish green color. Paint aside, what a nice canoe to...

ok, well this is great. and thank you for the links. However, that's not the green of my canoe. I guess it's possible it's not original then, as it is certainly a more traditional deep and dark green, versus the light green in those photos.
