119810 Old Town

The Old Town canoe with serial number 119810 is a 16 foot long, CS (Common Sense or middle) grade, HW (Heavy Water) model with open spruce gunwales, oak decks, oak thwarts, oak seats, and a keel. It was built between December, 1936 and February, 1937. The original exterior paint color was Yale blue. It shipped on March 6th, 1937 to New York City. This scan and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well.
