Canvas attachment at the stem inwale junction

Does anyone have a drawing or photo showing how the canvas is attached at the stem inwale junction? I'm ready to do up the bow after stretching the canvas and I'm not sure how it's typically done with this type on inwale that extends beyond the stem.
Also how is the canvas prepared or trimmed before the outwale is installed?

At the corner of the stem and the rail, cut the canvas parallel to the rail. That will allow the canvas at the stem to wrap over the face of the stem. Tack the canvas on the face of the stem as close to the rail as you can.
After the canvas filler has cured and before the outside rail is put on, the canvas is cut as smoothly as possible with the very sharp knife, as even to the top of the edge of the planking as possible. If you leave too much canvas above the plank line it makes fitting the outside rail difficult. If the canvas is cut too low there is a possibility the outside rail will not cover up the cut edge of the canvas.

The shear plank is relieved to allow the rail past and out. At the relief how is the canvas cut? Does one canvas over the relief and tack to the rail? Or cut the relief in the canvas as well and the canvas above that is what then raps around the stem. Then the outside rail passes over that empty cutout in the plank?

It seems you're overthinking this. You just want your canvas to cover the hull and be tight, and of course you don't want canvas over those rail tips that protrude. Another way of saying the same as Rollin is: cut the canvas so that it can be wrapped around the stem, pulled up tight to the underside of the rail tips. Just wrap it around the stem and tack to the stem as usual. Tack along the rail right up to the point that the planking stops.
