Not a suggestion, a question.. "The Members Dock"

Braincells? I've been sanding, painting and varnishing for 30 years.
More than one? What a novel concept. I wonder how I would manage that?
Yes, hindsight makes me wonder if all that lead filler and all that sanding has stunted my growth, but then when I start listing all of the possibilities, I quickly run out of paper and realize that choices were made. I did not drown in cheap tequila, but I tried.

While I agree with everything Mike said, I don't follow it, I'm lazy.
I use the same pasword for everything, with iterations in the digits, but there are enough that I keep a list in my computer.
The only electrical device I have is the computer, no cell phone, no tablet.
I do use some passwords for only 1 thing and I try to avoid new accounts.
Hence the desire to have these 2 accounts linked.

Not to drag this out with stories....but. I'm watching varnish dry today. I get a lot of my lumber at a local lumberyard here. A pretty big one. I get a yard ticket , hand scribbled, take it inside where they have to get out the big ring Binder to look up the price. Then she writes me up a receipt on the big invoice hand crank machine that makes carbon copies. A lot of times the little old lady with the blue hair can't figure out board feet, and I have to help her. They do take debit cards now. She takes my card behind the counter and instead of me punching in my pin I just yell it to her over the counter. All good, I love that lumber yard.

I always considered (apparently wrongly) the Forum and the Website one and the same.

They were one and the same for many years but the move to the newest WIX based server required a split. WIX doesn't support many of the things that the WCHA has been doing for a long time. This is why the woodencanoe.org domain server hosts the WCHA's home page, store, classifieds, and member area while the wcha.org domain server hosts the forums, chapter pages, builder pages, classified archive, and a few other things. We have tried to make it all work like one big website but two different servers are involved in the background. Integrating these two groups of usernames and passwords would be nice but very difficult for a variety of reasons. Sorry,

Benson

Re: passwords. I am pretty careful with mine, but for those who find it all a bit much, here is a simple suggestion. Decide what are your 10 most important accounts (bank, investments, online backups, etc) and give them strong, unique, hard-to-guess passwords. Then you don't have so much to loose if you use the same simple password for everything else and it get compromised.

So, got an e-mail welcoming me to the Members site. To look for an email regarding logging in. And mention that I now have access to the site. Tried logging in and my email is not recognized.

Any suggestions?

I just heard about this through the latest (Summer) journal. However, I didn't receive an email yet. (Yes, I checked the Spam section) Thanks.

Collen helped me out. I did get an e-mail but for some reason it was in the spam folder. As previously mentioned is a labor intensive project but well worth it!
