Wooden Canoe gathering - Jag Lake, Wisconsin - Sept. 9

If you're in the neighborhood, there will be a gathering of wooden canoe folks for fun on and off the water on Jag Lake, Boulder Junction, Wisconsin on September 9. Organized and hosted by Craig and Judy Kitchen, this is sure to be a wonderful event. The Michigan UP chapter is covering the cost of the group site, and daily vehicle fees are very low. For all of us "Have Canoe, Will Travel" folks, consider attending. More information:

  • Tent camping available as of 3:00PM Friday, Sept 8 and Sat, Sept 9. Rustic camping with vault toilets and hand pump drinking water. (Depart by 3:00 PM Sunday).

  • Gathering to be held rain or shine. Bring rain tarps to help us cover the large site

  • Bring a dish to share for a pot-luck style meal served about 5:00pm (we will not be grilling this year)

  • The UP of Michigan WCHA chapter will cover the cost of the group site reservation

  • Individuals cover your own daily vehicle fee. WI residents - $8; non-resident - $11

  • Campground rules state dogs must be on a leash at all times. Thank you!

  • Make own reservations for RV or trailer camping nearby at Upper Gresham Lake
