Great Rivers Chapter Fall Paddle and Camping at Jag Lake

Otter

Gene Ott Canoeist/Builder
WCHA, Great Rivers Chapter Member,

This is the last reminder for the last Chapter event planned for 2011. The camping and paddling at Jag Lake has been well attended in the past. We hope you can make it this year. Dave will be demonstrating and canvassing a canoe at his shop just a few miles from the campsite. Saturday evening the Chapter will supply pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans and fruit salad. Please bring something to pass and your own beverages. The campsite is tent only. There is a sand beach for putting in your canoe. Canoe carts will be available to get your canoe to the beach or you can put in at the boat landing and paddle across the lake to the camping area. We hope to have enough interest to paddle other water in the area. You are welcome with any type of canoe, kayak, row boat, wood or not or even if you have no boat but only an interest in wooden canoes and kayaks.
