LOVES Wooden Canoes
Impossible to say without knowing what "great condition" really means, and without knowing manufacturer for sure. With just this 4-digit number to go on, it could be from one of many manufacturers. If you can post photos of the whole canoe, the decks, thwarts, etc., it will probably be identifiable by people here.
Some good information about how to value an old canoe can be found at http://forums.wcha.org/showthread.php?57 and there is no known Old Town build record for serial number 1755 so it can't be authenticated from that information. Pictures would help a lot as mentioned previously.
